Arrested:  Jackson, Dillon S. / 29 yoa / Myrtle Creek, OR

On Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at about 0045 hours, an adult female in the 3000 block of Days Creek Road called to report a restraining order violation by her estranged husband, Dillon Jackson. The caller reported that Jackson was at the residence in the driveway by her car.

Deputies responded to the location. A Myrtle Creek Police Officer, who was assisting deputies, located a 1991 Mazda pickup being operated by Dillon Jackson turning onto Riverside Drive from Days Creek Cut Off Road. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle and a pursuit began.

Officers pursued the vehicle onto I-5 north bound. The vehicle hit spike strips that had been placed by Oregon State Police Troopers near mile post 118. The vehicle came to a stop near the interchange at mile post 119 and Dillon Jackson fled the vehicle.

Officers established a perimeter around the area and a Roseburg Police K-9 unit arrived to track the subject. After a 1.6 mile track, the subject was arrested by one of the perimeter officers. Jackson was charged with Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Recklessly Endangering, Criminal Mischief and Violation of a Restraining Order. He was lodged in the county jail.
