On December 6, 2012, DCSO Detectives and DINT combined efforts and obtained a search warrant for the residence at 2981 Kent Creek Rd. This is a very rural location located south of Winston, OR. The main purpose of the warrant was to locate and arrest Jeff Alan Lavrar. Jeff Lavrar had been wanted for over a year. He was a suspect in prior drug and stolen firearms cases which were originally worked by DINT. He was also on abscond status with Parole and Probation.

On December 6, 2012, at about 5:00 pm, the DCSO tactical response team and a Roseburg PD K-9 unit served the search warrant at the Kent Creek location. Jeff Lavrar ran from the residence into the nearby woods. The Roseburg PD K-9 was utilized and Jeff Lavrar was taken into custody quickly without further incident. While attempting to elude officers, Jeff Lavrar was observed to be carrying an unknown item in his hand. A further search of the general area by the K-9 resulted in officers finding a large baggie (over 1/2 ounce) of methamphetamine.

Paul Crawford was contacted in his vehicle as he was leaving the location. A search of his vehicle found meth paraphernalia and a pistol concealed on the floor board of his vehicle.

Randy Evans and Linda Ramirez are the primary residents at 2981 Kent Creek Rd. A further search of their portion of the residence found a meth pipe and psilocybin mushrooms (Schedule I controlled substance) in their shared bedroom.

DINT had previously served a search warrant in March 2012, at this same location in an attempt to locate and arrest Jeff Lavrar. Both Randy Evans and Linda Ramirez were warned at that time that Lavrar was a wanted fugitive and they risked being arrested for Hindering Prosecution if they allowed him to stay at their residence. The search warrant at that time had found stolen firearms and drug items in Jeff Lavrar's belongings.

The value of the meth seized (just over 1/2 ounce) is approximately $800 - $900.00.
