On June 17th, 2013, a homeowner in the 2800 block of Dole Road reported he had interrupted a burglary at his residence and fired a pistol at the two suspects.
On Thursday, June 27, 2013 at about 1100 hours, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant for stolen property at the residence at 962 Cook Street, Myrtle Creek, OR. The main occupant of the residence is Terry Lee Ingles, who was not home.
Deputies recovered stolen property from previous burglaries that occurred at the property on Dole Road. The recovered property included lamps, CD’s, a short sword, and small collectibles. Deputies also located methamphetamine paraphernalia to include meth pipes, syringes, and meth residue.
Brett William Cashman and Susan Lee Steede were found at the residence. Deputies learned that Brett Cashman had been involved in the incident in which the landowner had interrupted the burglary and fired the shots.
Brett Cashman was arrested and charged with Theft II and Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine. Susan Steede was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine.
Terry Lee Ingles is currently being sought as a suspect in the prior incidents on Dole Road, Myrtle Creek. He is believed to be staying in the South County area. Anyone with information on his current whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 541-440-4471.
