On March 20, 2014, at about 0700 hours, Sheriff's deputies served a search warrant at 3456 Upper Cow Creek Road in Azalea. Deputies have been conducting an Identity Theft investigation involving Thomas IV who is suspected of opening an AT&T account and using a stolen credit card to purchase cell phones, tablets and tires.

During the search, deputies recovered some of the property that was purchased with the stolen credit card. Deputies contacted Christopher LaCoe, who is a convicted felon. LaCoe was found to be in possession of an alligator, stolen mining equipment, 15 pounds of Marijuana, 52 grams of Methamphetamine 5 firearms and a stun gun. The alligator was seized and relocated by OSP who assisted on the warrant.

Thomas IV, who was already in the county jail, was charged with the above listed charges relating to the initial investigation.

The other subjects listed were charged with the listed offenses and lodged or cited and released.
