On Sunday, March 23rd, Sheriff's deputies removed four pickup loads of abandoned property and trash from BLM land about 14 miles out South Myrtle on White Rock Mountain. This area is commonly known as the White Castle timber sale and was previously occupied by protesters of the sale.

Deputies have been patrolling the area and noticed the area had been left abandoned since about March 1st. The area was found to have abandoned tarps, rotting food, human waste, and there were wooden platforms suspended from the trees by ropes.

Due to the health and safety concerns, the abandoned items were collected and removed from the area and have been seized as evidence.

Under investigation.
