Copies of a Report

If you wish to purchase a copy of a police report, you will need to either come into Sheriff's Office Records Division and make your request, or send it in writing through the mail.

Requesting Records

If you will be sending your request you will need to include as much information about the incident as you can. Information such as the case number (if known) the date, time and location of the incident, and people, vehicles and vehicle plates involved (if known) are helpful. Please include a check or money order for the anticipated amount of the copies with your request. Mail requests can be sent to:

Releasing the Reports

Reports can only be released once the case is closed. Cases pending further follow-up or prosecution from the District Attorney's Office will not be released. An Attorney may possibly be able to attain these types of reports from the District Attorneys Office as part of the discovery process.
